We take the Masterbuilt electric smoker with us. Fits in the truck bed between the hitch and the cab. Works really well and being electric it's not near as messy as my wood/charcoal smoker I keep at home. Very low impact and worry free smoker. Just set the temp and smoke time and let it go. Add wood chips about every 40 minutes for the first 3 hours or so then let it do its thing. A large garbage bag also works great as a cheap cover for it!

I have this and other smokers at home. And if I took one on the road it would be the electric MasterBuilt.

It dosn't produce the nasty visible smoke, just the favor portion of the smoke which is what you want. That's better around close neighbors.
