The pump does not have to be anything special. A $20 fountain pump from Lowes will work. You just need to figure out a way to get the plumbing to the water heater set up for continuous circulation. I would simply disconnect in & out water where you can and kluge some tubing so that the fountain pump pulls the vinegar solution out of the bucket, thru the heater and then back to the bucket. Fix up some sort of strainer of filter to catch any debris coming out of the heater so it does not get sucked out of the bucket and back into the heater. I have a Noritz NR50ODLP Outdoor Tankless Water Heater that I've done that with but I knew this going in so set it up for that without buying any special hardware from Noritz.



I'll bet this could be accomplished from the convenience center in someway using the bypass valve or simply the drain valve at the bottom of the heater and/or the T/P safety valve.
