For bshtgo, cost info. There are 2 kinds of frame flex. The aluminum stud welds along the side walls, or the actually 10 (or 12) inch body frame that has problems at front on the overhang where they weld on the vertical short piece and then the front for the bedroom floor and hitch. My first Montana (2006) had the body frame flex. I think that cost me $3-6,000. Cant remember as it was 10 years ago.

18 months ago, we had the other weld breaks. The front was going and they removed the front cap, but only had to remove it partially. Also the back section - last 3-4 feet - had the welds break. One side that I looked at had 3 studs broken and the rear stud had to be completely replace because the hole for back wall bolts had stripped out and been replace 2 times and had completely open a large hole in the stud. This fix cost me $6000. If you only had a front or one back section it would be $2-3000 I would think.

I do put the miles on tho - and the tough ones up and down mtns most years and a lot of 2 lane roads. My first rig had 65,000 mile on it over 8 years including a trip to AK. This current rig also has 65,000 miles on it over 7 1/2 years and a trip to AK.
