IMO.... Bshgto, that's what makes the world go round, Inventors! Sometimes they work, other times they do but not great. We did our first trip with our residental and boy what a difference! We even drove 14 hrs and all was cold no problems, no inverter. We can not go back to the other type ever! As far as the wood, we also hated to loose it but it really makes the rv look updated. The only issue we had we forgot to secure the doors of the refrig x1 and water bottles and cucumbers met us at the door lol. We did not forget that again. Good news nothing liquid opened so no mess.
