Remember that the condenser fan and evap fan are the same, when run on low speed, not enough air goes through the coils on the roof to keep head pressure (refrigerant) down to operating temperature/pressures.
Long story short, above around 90 degrees, plus or minus ? You must run the unit on high speed.
