I do not know were the idea of "breaking even" or not getting your money back on a extended warranty came from but it does not apply to any other form of insurance . We have always had them on our Montana and truck as one major failure could hurt us bad. With the fridge and we have had two go bad one in the 06 3400 and one in this 13 3402. They will replace the cooling unit not the entire fridge and the cost will be in the 500 to 800 $$ area we have the bills. Holding tanks about 500.00 each Hot water tank repair not replacement as the Keystone wiring installation to the tank was improper in the 200.00 area. Note we have had 10..yes 10 holding tank failures in our two Montana's. A awning replacement 500 to 600 .00 awning shipping, installation. I watched them install the main slide awning last week and you better know what you are dong. Our personal choice is the extended warranty. Now we are high end users. We use the Montana hard lots of miles lots of live in them time.
