we have found that while traveling on the road, we add antifreeze to the tanks, and the toilet bowl, but that all the bouncing around on the road keeps the lines free (unless really cold, ie close to zero). Even in the mid 20s when camped, we have not had a freezing issue, other than the city water hose.
