Sorry Ray, many of us Ford owners are pretty proud of our trucks and now the truth is coming out. However, I'm happy with the power, strength and fuel economy of my 2006 with a 6.0L PSD. I think the summary is the 6.4 should be avoided and the first year of the 6.0 if you want a truck for your son. I frequently get 19-20 mpgs on the highways and keeping it under 75. I have had no problems with my 6.0 at all, but others have posted some of theirs. I still have a bit of time & miles with my warranty, so time will tell.

Just trying to keep things accurate (not positive or negative). I wonder if EVERY Ford owner piped in, how different the results would be - I recall at least turbo coming loose or failing fuel injectors. There have been other posts about Dodge & GMC/Chevy.
