Wayne, it's been awhile since I removed ours and replaced with a 32" Sony but I will try to give you a few pointers to get you started.
First of all in the center of the upper cabinet at the front you will find a plastic cap to uncover a screw that allows you to first remove the center speaker. Below the center speaker opening I believe you will find another screw that fastens to the top of the TV. Also you will need to remove the four wood plugs in the fireplace fascia that will lead you to removing the fireplace. Once the fireplace is removed you will be able to access another two screws that screw up and into the bottom of the television. Hopefully this will get you started.
