If you take the time to look at the "Vehicle Specifications" clickie Ford posted, you would see (among other info) the following Gear Ratios:
  • Dodge: 3.42:1
  • Ford: 3.31:1
  • Chevy: 3.73:1
As stated elsewhere, those appear to be the lowest available for each of the brands. They did say they used the models that were available at the time of filming.

P.S. Have you seen a 2011 Chevy or Dodge? Dodge will be using the current 6.7L motor as it already meets the new EPA standards. The new Chevy motor hasn't made an appearance yet (AFAIK).

P.P.S. You are aware there are three test in the ad, one being towing test using a 9750 Lb. load in a goose-neck trailer?

Of course this is an advertisement, not a public service ad. It has slightly more credibility than a campaign ad (such as those we are being inundated with here in CA).
