Replying to this a little late as we just returned from the last trip of the season.
I purchased a used 2005 2955RL last year. Was told to get a slider hitch which I did. It wasn't until I picked up the 5er that I realized that it had an extended pin box. That made a big difference. Lots of room with the 2006 Duramax 4-door short box.
