Mine was under the rail..Not sure what the benifits would be of over the rail..Seems like under the rail would add a layer of rust protection...As as for the bedliners,Lin-x Rino-Liner and several other brands of spray in liners they are all pretty much the same..sorta like Tuna Fish..different brand names..but all Tuna fish.
