The Holiday Travel Park in Virginia Beach has super sites that are very nice. The park also has a free parking lot at the ocean front for registered guests. Hard to get a site on a weekend in October though. The park goes crazy with Halloween festivities.

First Landing State Park is beautiful but can be challenging for 35’+ rigs. We’ve stayed there several times and have the scares to show for it. The live oaks are tough.

I like driving up the eastern shore of Virginia/Maryland but make sure you are under 13’-6” high. A friend got turned around at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel because they triggered the over height sensor. Make sure your propane is turned off before you get to the tolls plaza.
totally up for the washington navy yard.. and our monty is all of 13'6'.. so we'll try a work around at the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel.

thanks..
