Don’t know if the dash configuration is the same in your 2017 but the Garmin rides on ours right under the 12v outlet in the dash. The smooth metallic surface holds the suction cup well, it doesn’t block the cup holders and the wire plugs in right there. I hate wires hanging in my view. I don’t need or want a back up camera so my set up is simple. Forward camera hard wired behind and to the right of the mirror, tpms high and immediately to the right of that. No wires needed as it will run for days on a charge and I just recharge it with a USB port in the camper when it gets low. Karen keeps track of the Garmin more so than I do, what I like about it is it calls out what lane to be in for the exits which is handy when I’m in new territory. I don’t like anything sitting on the dash so this works for me.
