A transfer switch is used to select sources of a/c electric power for your rig such as onboard genny, inverter or shore power.
You rig may have one if it has genny prep or a large inverter. Most are automatic but there are also manual ones.
If you have a RV reefer and do not have an onboard genny you likely do not have a transfer switch.
