Yep, silicone or a dry lube (clear stuff, not the one with a white residue) with PTFE works for me. It goes on the operating rod and every moveable joint a couple times a year. I also do the bearing ends if the toppers too. I've found that WD-40 just ain't what it used to be in the past.
