It always seems to be the same whenever the proper size truck question is asked. Those that are overweight with their 3/4 ton trucks scream it tows just fine. Those with the 1 ton SRW that are overloaded say well only part of the truck is overloaded. Those with the 1 ton dually already know that they are with in all of their weight ratings. Then you have the ones without a 1 ton dually being sarcastic and claiming that you need a full fledged over the road Kenworth or Freightliner. Okay being extra safe is fine, actually it is much better than towing more than your tow vehicle is designed to tow. Yes I do have plenty of truck but surely I would be happy with a medium duty Freightliner, can I get that with four wheel drive? I would be happy to drive that and if necessary I would build a separate shop if it wouldn’t fit in my garage. Just saying, but really I want to say happy and safe roads to you, your family and the other drivers we share our highways and byways with.
