My spare tire lives in my cargo compartment. I never use the under belly hoist. It stays nice and clean and dry in there, and checking the pressure is a snap.
Now, that being said, that tire is still heavy as you know what! I will call road service for the change. But if I must change it myself I can roll the spare out and let it drop. Then I'll figure something out for getting the flat tire into the truck bed.
Just stay safe out there guys. This gitt'n old sucks!
