I think the best advise has already been given. If you decide to take a firearm with you do not advertise it. Most quality firearms cost big bucks and letting people know you have one invites theft. Be low profile, keep it out of sight of people coming in and out of your trailer. Have it where you can get to it if needed and don't talk about it.
