Heading east....

Sadly, we are leaving the San Diego area tomorrow and heading east. We have been camped on the Silver Strand, south of beautiful Coronado, in full view of the Coronado Bridge with the San Diego landscape and the San Diego Naval fleet parked across the bay. It doesn't get much better than this! Add the marina of sailboats, the bike paths, and the Pacific Ocean across the highway, it is pure heaven. The weather has turned so nice we tried to stay a little longer but the sites are all filling up so we could manage only one extra night. So we will head for Yuma tomorrow with hopes of finding some bargains in Mexico while we're there. We hope to do some boondocking which we have found that we enjoy after our experience at Quartzite.

Our campground is a military campground but just down the road is a state park, right on the ocean. It is dry camping in a parking lot and the fee is around $25.00. But the setting is awesome!

And there is so much to do in the San Diego area. We recommend this area enthusiastically.
