To tell you the truth, I don't remember. My extension is 30'....yes it was expensive, but when you need it....you need it. Since you are making your own, better a bit longer than too short.

I have a 25' extension and have used it twice. On one occasion we were in a parking spot backwards so our big rear window would fact the river we were on. The spot was designed for a motor home.
