On mine, the fireplace comes out as a whole unit. You do NOT remove the glass. On mine, there is a metal trim piece, about 1 1/2” wide, around the outside of the fireplace, which slides up and off....

I had a fifth air on my 2010, and have a Mor Ryde on my current trailer. Between the two, I think the Mor Ryde does a much better job.
