Before making a decision on the tank, I would pull the coroplast down and fill the tank again to determine where it is leaking. It may be the connection and not the tank.

I always leave solar on, the charge converter will protect your batteries. I do turn batteries off in storage. You want solar and battery on to travel.

It is fairly easy to replace the microwave. We didn't use the convection oven so I replaced with a residential GE model without convection for around $200.
