First I am not sure what kind of roof top device you have. It may be fine. We use Weboost. What I would suggest is to invest in a "Good" router running third party (DD-WRT, Asuswrt-Merlin) firmware....

Ours have not been shrinking, but as DQDick said they are warping. If you have to remove the cover they are a pain to reinstall.

Well I checked the clearance on the slide seal and there seems to be about an inch. I don't think that if I use 3/16" thick strips it will not affect the seals.
