What I did was remove the splitter and put a barrel connector in its place. With that being said, I no longer have the ability to run cable/antenna to both those tv's unless I get back into the belly...

Yes I found three splitters in the satellite...

Yes I found three splitters in the satellite lines. The main one had both satellite and cable going in, and behind each wall plate satellite went into a splitter.

That is what I am investigating. I noticed that the sat lines are going into a splitter and then out to the tv's. I'm eliminating that and going direct with barrel connectors

Thank you for the info! I guess I really need the "why" they do it knowing (or maybe not knowing) it doesn't work. I'm one of those people that are annul about wires so, I will be splitter hunting...
