I think I have it now. Actually a friend stopped by and straightened it out. Turned off the A/C in zone 2, which I failed to mention in my request for help.

Volumeline 60 lb force storage door lifts

Had a bad experience where the Volumeline ripped the scres out of the door. Trying to reinstall lift. There has to be an easy way to do it. Do I need to use a clamp to compress the unit?
