I've been told many times by putting weight on...

I've been told many times by putting weight on the back of a 5th wheel can throw "off" the over-all balance of the rig. If this is not true, I would agree with Montana Man.

My response is somewhat related to how often you are hooking and unhooking. If seldom, I would go with having the generator in the truck. We did this and had no problem whatsoever in obtaining help...
