- Retired MS/HS science teacher (me) and retired waitress/Server (Cheryl).
5 kids - 4 in N. Mich., 1 in Neepawa, Manitoba (~100 miles west of Winnipeg).
9 Grandkids, 10 yrs to 1 yr - 7 in N. MI and a 2 in Neepawa, Manitoba.
Cheryl grew up in Garden City, MI. I grew up in Hudsonville, MI and Bellaire, MI. I am a Michigan Tech alumnus where I played football, partied and eventually graduated.
I initially became an oilfield engineer, starting out in MI, then spending a few years in Liberal, KS (1979-1982). Territory was Dodge City, KS to Amarillo, TX, including the OK panhandle, SE CO, Western KS (Yes, we lived in our cars and our wives and kids never saw us).
Owned an oilfield engineering business for 5 years before going into teaching/coaching at local HS. Retired officially from teaching in May, 2007 after 2 years of Workers Comp.
Cheryl and I spend the winters (mid-Oct thru mid-April) at West View Ridge Resort in Haines City.. We both work part time at Disney for
