Hi I have found that when I leave the battery hooked up for a period of time it will drain due to the propane fridge LCD display and propane detector and God only knows what else is running. The main problem I have is that some of the cells are dead. I took out the reverse polarity fuses and took a reading at the converter with shore power on as the rep at PDI suggested. At one time the voltage was 17 volts and another time was over 30 volts. This seems to be what is killing the batteries. Actually went to the manufacturer in Michigan. He checked the original converter said it was fine. Told him it was killing batteries over the last 3 years. He replaced it and check the replacement said it was fine too. Guess what … killed ( dead cells) battery last week
