I have been looking, but have not found a satisfactory answer to this question.
If the FGAWR, RGAWR and the GCWR are OK for the truck/trailer combination, but the GVWR is below the truck weight with the trailer, what components of the truck are over stressed?
The FGAWR and the RGAWR being higher than the weight on each axle should indicate that the suspension is OK. The combined weight of the truck and trailer being below the GCWR should indicate that the drive train is OK. I don't know what is left to be overstressed.
Another way of asking the question is why doesn't the GVWR equal the sum of the FGAWR and the RGAWR?
Maybe some of the more knowledgeable people on this forum can help me.
