Hi Everyone, I’m new to this forum, but sure glad I found it. I’ve just recently sold my motor home and looking forward in going back to a 5th wheel. My last 5th wheel and truck, before I purchased the motor home, was a 28’ Jayco Qwest and Ford 2X4 F250 with the 7.3 PowerStroke. Both smaller units, but a great combination. I’ve gone through my motor home stage and ready to settle down to a nice comfortable 5th wheel. Now, with the background out of the way, my questions – With this combination- 2003 Dodge HO, auto tranny and long box, 4X4 DRW and the Montana 3655FL, will I have problems with the weight of the trailer being too close to the upper towing limits of the truck? And, my next fear fear is the height of the truck bed being too tall for the hitch to allow a proper gap above the truck bed sides and the bottom of the 5th wheel. The side walls of the truck bed measure 59“ from the pavement. The recommended gap between the bottom of the trailer and the top of the bed is about 8” – Before I start the process of finding the best deal out there, does anyone have any insight or recommendations to the above concerns that they wouldn’t mind sharing?

Thanks... Ron
