A belated merry christmas and a premature happy new year!!!
Here's one for you Canadians that spend time "down south"
Our retirement medical insurance covers us for the first 40 days and then we purchase top-up insurance for the balance--Today we found for the top up insurance for me, will be a whopping 2000$?? for the additional 61 days to take us into April. What do you do,,and who do you purchase insurance from?? PS--the meds I take are the lowest dosage of lipitor and lowest dosage of hydrochlorothorazide??sp?? Been on that prescription for 18years so I'd consider myself stable---Curious,,,Thanks,,,Ron

Not Canadian, but have friends that fly back to Canada and take another flight to u.s. to get around having to buy the insurance. Don't know if this works for everyone, but worked for them. They live in ontario.

Thanks,,we think we can "reset the clock" on the 40 day insurance but are just verifying that.
