Original Wheels for 3000RK

I have purchased a 2007 Montana 3000RK and I would like to know what are the OEM aluminum wheels and if they can still be purchased? Mine has steel wheels on it.
Were steel or aluminum wheels an option back then. I am trying to find out what is correct for this 5th wheel.
If the OEM wheels are not available, what are the weight ratings that I should be looking for on aftermarket wheels? My GVWR is 12,500.

Just looked up that unit. Keystones specs say 10065 dry weight with a 4095 cargo capacity. That put your rigs GVWR at 14160lbs.

I am not certain, but I would bet it came with alum wheels.
Most likely not made anymore. (I cant get wheels for my 2011)
Look for rims that have a psi rating of 110psi so you can put on G rated 14 ply tires. (Sailun s637 or Good year G614)

They are probably no longer available, but they would have been provided by Tredit Tire. Contact them and you can probably get a good deal on something similar.

I would think going to an aftermarket would be better , Tires, and Wheels I believe is one website, there is others. As said doubtful you will be able to get OE wheels, and most likely would not be rated for 110 psi.

I would definitely want the higher rated wheel regardless, and just in case you do get that trailer loaded up to its GVWR, you would want to go the G rated tires .

Not familiar with 19.5. Not sure I have seen it mentioned here for fifth wheels .
Trucks I have ,but never that I can remember on fifth wheels.

Thats interesting, can't say I have seen a fifth wheel with 19.5 on them . I would think they would not fit on just any fifth wheel. Clearance would sure be an issue.

Went to their website, can't see where you would make any progress going to 19.5 over a G rated 16" tire

Those G rated 19.5 225/70R19.5 are rated for 3970 at 110 psi, you can do that with a G rated 235/85/16 Sailun. Actually the 235/85/16 Sailun is rated for 4400 lbs. But the wheels would be limited .

Additionally the aspect ration is decreased 3". Rather thna flexing when turning they say the tire will slide. I am not sure that is better.

I an not a fan of low profile tires on anything. I defiantly would not want them on my fifth wheel trailer.

With these numbers, the designed weight on the axles would be 12,000 lbs, and it's likely that this rig only has 6,000 axles, so all the discussion about needing truck tires and G range tires is a bit of overkill. He could still use G range tires, but he would probably end up investing more than he paid for the trailer if he went with some of the tire upgrades mentioned.

I have a 3400RL 2008 MONTANA and it HUGE ! I luv it......lives like a small house. Mine came with really nice aluminum wheels. 8 lug nuts I believe. I am told my dry weight is 10,800lbs. It tow's FANTASTIC. It's actually 38' long in reality. 4 slide outs. peace, Mark p.s. I m batting 1000 fixing it myself ! MAGIC CHEF makes a perfect spec size fridge that fits like a glove ! HUGE 10.1 cubic foot inside.

Hi all,
I have a 2007 3000RK currently in use.
It has/had aluminum wheels
there was a MFG printed sticker on the inside stating 110 PSI.
I was running goodyear G614's
I replaced the wheels some time ago with a newer style from Eastern Marine.
Still have 2 sitting on the side of the house.
It was cheaper to replace then refinish them.

as a side note:
the early 2007 3000RK were actually produced as a 12500GW,
the during the production run they increased the rated GW to around 14K
Mine is rated at 12500 per the VIN tag,
I don't know the production cut in date.
I have called keystone but they were not helpful.

I had a 3000RK back in the days of my RVing loved it and ran LT tires on it . never had any trouble , That is a nice unit , wish i still had it . sailer
