Numbers keep changing in my old head so here goes. Presently I have tires on the Montana that have a 30.2" outside diameter, & I have 3 & 5/8" between the tires. Looking to replace with tires that have a 31.7" outside diameter, how much of that 3&5/8" am I going to loose.

1.5 inches. You'll also get 1.5" closer to the top of the wheelwell.

Dual rear wheel/tire spacing is a critical element and should be done by well trained installers when changing designated sizes.

I don't believe Cal is correct. From center to edge would only increase one half of the 1.5 inches or .75 inches.
However the distance between tires would shrink to 2 1/8 inches. I don't know if that would be a problem.

For me the only difference is the expandable wheel chocks have to go in upside down since the adjusting bolt is unreachable now if right side up.

You will lose 1.5 inches of your 3 5/8. You divide the overall height difference in half, per tire, then add the two together for your 1.5. You will only be 3/4 of an inch closer to your wheel well. So yes, as twindman said, you will have 2 1/8 between your tires.

I changed my tires from ST235/80 to ST235/85 and I didn't have any problems 3/4" increase to inside the fender well was never a problem
