I have a 2018 High Country with Ranier 12 ply load range F tires. Have about 8000K on them. Keep reading about tire issues. What would be a good replacement tire. I know Sailuns are talked about, any other brands. What should I look for as far as ply and load range? Thanks for looking.

Sailuns. I can’t think of any reason to buy anything else. They are cheap and dependable.

The rims are rated for G tires. I would take Lynwood's advice.

Thanks guys. Just need to find them in Illinois. Step daughter works for Ford, they always say they can get any tire as well as beating price so we will see if they can get the Sailuns.

Where did you purchase them?

I think most of us order them at simple tire.

I checked for a Commercial Tire Shop to mount them.
Most of the tire stores around me do even not have sufficient room to get a fiver in front of their shop.

Paid 80$ for mounting and I bet they made money on my leftover rainiers

I donít like to do brands. This is just about tires in general.

There are a lot of ST tire manufacturerís now building the steel cased ST235/80R16 LRG and ST235/85R16 LRG tires. The availability for some of them is much better than others. The longest known ST tire builder makes them and they are available at big box stores like Walmart.

There is another unique tire size Ė not steel cased Ė being built here in the USA. Itís the ST255/85R16 LRE that provides 4080# of load capacity at 80 PSI. Itís draw-back is height, 33.1Ē and itís rim size, 6.5Ē Ė 8-ď with 7Ē used as itís measuring rim size.

IMO, the best upgrade is to stick to the original tireís designated size and go up a load range, if available.

After removing all 4 Sailuns one at a time to get TPMS valve stem installed. Those Sailuns are heavy tires. And the 4th one is heavier than the first.

I pulled the 5er just 43 miles from the dealer to the tire shop. Had the same Rainer LR F tires OP has. Had Sailun 235/85/16 installed. Dealer gave me $30 each for the Rainier.

Just replaced original Chinese tires on our 2015 305RL. Put Goodyear Endurance. Talk to Discount Tire guys if you want to know about them. Discount has not yet decided to take on the Sailun line.

When I had my 35' TT I got rid of the factory Chinese tires and replaced them with Goodyear Endurance. We now have a High Country 321MK and I think the same Goodyears for it are around $240.00 each. I will be looking into the Sailuns. Heard nothing but good things about them.

Who makes the Sailun tires?

Here are two handy links to have in your tire data files. The first will explain the codes and the second lists all two character plant codes in alpha/numeric sequence.

We have a 305RL I l am installing ST235/80R16 sailun tires on this week How much air pressure does everyone use in the tires? I see the chart that Calandlinda attached but they have different pressures for the weight thanks Jim

Tires are rated at 4400#, overkill as loaded I'm 14,100 and 2800 of that is on the pin. After a few miles they are at 105 - 108. They wear even and run cool.

I'm pretty sure your trailer's certified axles are 6000#. Inflated to a cold 95 PSI your new Sailuns will provide 25% in load capacity reserves.
