While up in Goshen for the Rally, I felt the need to replace my front tires on my TV. Monteith Tires could do a front-end alignment so I got what they recommend and sold to a lot of the RV delivery guys. The tires are Firestone HT Transforce. All my tires are 235/35 R17 E.

So now that I'm home about 900 miles away, I'll replace the rear tires next spring. Do I need to stay with Firestone HT's or would any 235/35 R17 E work??

Would work, but I am sold on Transforce and have been using them for over ten years.

My experience with Transforce tires are with the OEM tires on my TV. They are A/T's not H/T's. They are close to the wear bars and at 19000 miles, they're shot.
Oh well, at least they wore evenly.

I've got the Transforce HT's on my truck. I like them. They are holding up well.

My truck has 41,000 miles on the OEM General and I would not have replaced the 2 front tire except for uneven wear that the alignment should now fix. The rears should wait fine until spring and then I'll look for some new Transforce HTs.

Been driving Diesel 3/4-1 ton trucks for over 20 years-earlier dragging large horse trailers +/- living quarters, recent years dragging the Montana. Always used top end Michelins. Never a flat, every tire went 40K miles plus. Had Firestone tires 40+ years ago on two trucks-all were POS and self destructed (usually belt separations) before 10K miles. Maybe they are better now but the breakdowns at the most inconvenient times are burned in my memory. Just my $.02.

40 year ago Firestone tires were bad; I had some. That company doesn't exist anymore. The new Firestone tires are made by Bridgestone.

Just replaced my tires with Michelin, I got 40,000 out of the oem tires and after about 15 years of running them I have never had a problem. OK now I just jinxed myself!
