We are planning on a trip to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island this summer. Nova Scotia will be a 31 caravan June 24-July25, and PEI will be adventure on our own. Does anyone have any places of interest for PEI. I looked on YouTube and didn't find anything interesting? We are starting out from Santa Cruz, CA to Calgary, Alberta onward to Bangor, ME and there upwards. Coming back, no plans yet, depending on how highway worn I am, lol. My wife has health issues, so I am trying to look ahead for her. Any suggestions are welcome and look forward to meeting anyone on way. Have fun and Safe Travels.

Prince Edward Island is all about red sand beaches, many provincial parks are located on the water, there are many scenic drives such as the Central Coast Drive which includes Green Gables Shore which includes the Anne of Green Gables museum which includes the home and grounds that inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery to write the “Anne of Green Gables” books. Since you only pay when you leave PEI we took the ferry over and paid for the bridge on the way back. There is a potato museum, lots of fresh seafood including some of the best oysters in the world from Malpeque Bay. We stayed at a very nice RV park in Kensignton called Twin Shores had 50 amp service great views of the water.

We visited PEI on 2011 for a few days. Having toured the island before we knew what to expect. Beautiful farmland--lots of potatoes and veggies--we shopped at local farmer's veggie stands when ever we saw one. I golf and take lots of photos--PEI gave me plenty of opportunities. PEI reminds me of England with rolling hills and lots of green fields. My wife in a Green Gables fan and really enjoyed the opportunities to see that part of the island culture. We spent a little time in Charlettetown to see the city. We also enjoyed the fresh seafood as several locations--especially mussels. Enjoy your time on PEI!
