Does anyone know if the stock rims on our 2014 Montana 3100RL will accept a G rated tire at 100 psi?

Your stock rims will accept the g range tires and at 110 psi. You will find this info on the inside of one of the spokes of the wheels. The wheel should also say it has a weight capacity of 3750 lbs.

Absolutely should, but worth your time to double check and eyeball a rim.

Never hurts to check, but Keystone is supposed to have put the stronger rims on all rigs since most of the 2010 models.

Thanks, just bought a 2012 3100RL and it has 2010 Marathons, so getting ready to go to a new tire (just for peace of mind) and was about to ask the same question. This forum is great. Thanks again

I have an '06 model with 6,000 lb axles and just replaced my Marathons with Maxxis STs. Now we fulltime moving about every 3 weeks. I check the tires religiously especially right before relocating. I feel real confident. Darn the old age, but I did check my wheels and seem to recall the wheels would NOT handle 100 lb psi, but don't remember for sure.

Like others mention, around 2010 the wheels were improved but it's still worth it to crawl under the rig and look for the stamped rating in the wheel. You might even find a stick-on label, but I'm not sure I'd trust that. Can anyone clear this up?

Art, it's not easy to clear up. There was a time, prior to 2010, when Tredit rerated the wheels and then derated them again. So it would be possible, I suppose, to have a sticker that contradicted the stamp on the wheel. During the 2010 model year they went to the higher rated wheels and have used them ever since. Before that the wheels were rated lower except during that brief period I mentioned and then they retracted the higher rating on those wheels also.

It was just a testing issue to get the certification, they didn't have the molds anymore and couldn't back the ratings with supporting paperwork, but the wheels were the same and same rating as the exact wheels they did have mold and current testing information on. (As I recall the conversation I had with Dick at Treadit.) I bought the new wheels and got the G614 wheels at that time anyway, as I had the 'sticker' wheels.

Big Jim, I agree that you will be fine with the high pressure tires., but to be 100%, check with your selling dealer. (Or a good tire shop)
