Hello, Newbie here.
We're picking up our new truck from the dealer in a couple of weeks and there are two choices in tires for our 2013 Dodge 3500 4x4 dually. We will be pulling a Montana 5er (about 12K empty) It comes with the LT 275/70R18E 18x8 inch aluminum rim (all season tires). The other, upgraded choice is the LT 235/80R17E 17x6 inch rim (these are on/off road tires).
Should we be more concerned with the rim size vs the tire size at the moment? I'm sure we will choose a tire much better suited to full timing when it comes time to replace them, but don't want to have to buy new rims also if we don't have to.
Between the two choices, which would be best for now?
Thank you.
