We were at Craters of the Moon in 2011, stayed at the KOA. COTM is a treat! Really bizarre formations. Who knew?

And if you have time take a tour of the Idaho National Laboratory, just east of Arco. That's where all of this country's nuclear reactors are developed or tested, whether for an electrical utility or a nuclear submarine or aircraft carrier.

Arco was the first city in the country to be powered by nuclear energy.

Just north and west of Arco is one of the best hang gliding spots in the country.

Who knew?

I second going to the nuclear lab. They give you a tour and then you can walk around at your leisure. It's very interesting.
