Well . Sharon had the implant on July 8th and the 1st day was finding her self. Today has been much better but in the AM we go back to the Doc to get some adjustments. She has already spread out her pain meds. That's the good thing . to get her life back. She even walked 1/2 block today 2 times and that is a 1st for over a year, Every day is going to be a new day. We have to be very positive , Thank you all for all the prayers. Its the best way.

Tell Sharon that strength comes from prayer and friends. Listen to the doctor and looking to see her at the fall rally.

I have a coworker had the same surgery and was able to return to work after 5 years. Hopefully she will have the same success to regain her life back. Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

When my hubby had the trial, it took several days for the pain from just having the procedure to go away. The doc said he had a lot of scar tissue from prior surgeries that he had to go thru to get the probes where they needed to go. So it took a few days to really feel the effects/benefits. If Sharon is seeing some benefit already, it is a GREAT thing!

Hi John and Sharon,

I had my SCS installed last October, so I've had it about nine months. I have been very satisfied with the outcome. Keep in mind that if the trial goes well, generally the final placement works even better - especially if they can go with the paddle leads for the permanent which they don't do just for the trial. I have been able to reduce my pain meds and the distraction from the stim unit is a wonderful change from constant pain.

If you have any questions, just let me know.

Thank you everybody for the prayers. Yes Jim & Vicky she had lots of scar tissue also , as that is why we didn't want another laser surgery. We are very hopeful for success
