Our Daisy Mae when we were on vacation broke her hip, took her to a vet who didn't xray her or anything said she didn't have anything broken. Gave us some metacam to help the pain. We got home took her to our vet he took some xray and found out hip was broken. So we had to drive to Concord, CA to a specialist have a her hip replacement done. She is a very expensive doggie now. We are going to have to charge people money to pet her to re-coop the money spent.

Can't afford them, but can't live without them. Our prayers the surgery goes well and she recovers fast!

Yes how true. We spent 2000 to save an eye and she was still blind.
Then after a couple of years we had to put her down.
But the love and kisses are worth more than money can buy.
They are always excited to see you!

We inherited a cat from our son when he got married...the cat did not get along with his new wife's cat. In Aug 2009 he was diagnosed with diabetes. Every time I go to the pharmacy for his insulin, when I pick it up the clerk always asks, "did they tell you how much this would be?" I pay them the $150 for the tiny bottle... and give him his 'drugs' at 8 AM and 8 PM.

Good guard dogs are priceless. I'll bet you haven't had a single thing stolen since you got Daisey May. Now what is that worth to you?

We heard back from the vet and the surgery was a success, we should be able to pick her up tomorrow. She is the sweetest dog and we would do anything for her and her sister Maggie. Both are Newfoundlands and are wonderful dogs.

Good luck with Daisy Mae's recovery.

Our Cody has two titanium knees, so our driveway won't be paved any time soon!

A Newfoundland, wow! After she recovers put a saddle on her and offer rides to the local kids so she can earn her medical costs back. Maybe her sister might even be able to help. Just kidding... sometimes we just have to suck if up and pay for our joy. I'm sure they appreciate it more than you'll ever know. Delaying a trip to the rainbow bridge is priceless.

Zoey had a root canal last winter......$1,750. Would have been only $100 less to pull the tooth, and as it was her canine, saving was a better option.

But pets are so cute!!!:)

Sending good thoughts for the healing...........
