Searchers...(Don & Claudia)...... I'll be making a "same day run" up to Shasta City on 6/28. I'm meeting friends there who are coming down from Corvallis and they will be turning east at Shasta City to go to Tahoe. Their daughter will come back down here with me and stay with our family for about 3 weeks.
If we have to spend the night.... whats the best motel to use?
Thanks!

D&M On The Road,

Check www.mtshasta.com for links to local facilities. I'm not sure what your criteria is for "best".

I'm not sure if this will get to you via e-mail reply through the MOC site so I'm posting it also.

Thanks Searchers....... just wasn't sure if there was a "bad" part of town to avoid. We'll be meeting that other couple from Corvallis and they'll be spending the night in Shasta City. Not too sure yet if we'll also spend the night or just drive back home.
I'll check that link you provided.
Thanks!

#29 Fans, I sent you an e-mail through this forum. Maybe you didn't receive it? Anyway, we live in Mt. Shasta and thought we might be able to meet you on your way through here. Looks like HamRad is only 60 miles south of us tonight. We can probably answer any of your questions about this area. E-mail is dmoore@snowcrest.net.

If you're asking where we stayed at Diamond Lake last weekend it was Broken Arrow, a USFS campground. Spacious paved sites, dump station, potable water and free showers at 5200' elevation. Nine bucks a night.
