Weigh stations

I would like to weigh my F350 some where before we get our first fifth wheel just for practice so I look like I know what I am doing when I come back with the trailer. The problem is I don't know what I am doing. Where should I go. To the weigh station where the big rigs go on the interstate? I also saw where TA had a sign for truck scales. Do they weigh the front axles and then the back or the whole truck at once? Not to change the subject but I had to explain to my son-in-law what a fifth wheel was and being an Engineer his reply to me was I don't really have a fifth wheel because I have a dually and it should be called a 7th wheel. Maybe I should change my log in name to 7ER. Any way I would appreciate comments on weighing my truck.
