Ok not sure if this will work. I have not ever tried to post pic's here before. Anyway I recently decided I would tackle replacing my old tube tv with a new lcd flat screen. This was a have to case. So I fiqured what the heck and gave it a go. The task wasn't something I was experienced at as far as knowledge of carpentry and such. I searched this and other forums for any and all ideas that others out there had done and decided to go with a sliding drawer type setup. I have a 2006 Montana 3400rl and the tube type tv that came with the trailer was only 27" type and to get a comparable picture size I had to go with a 32" flat screen. This was a real brain teaser for me because the cabinet wasn't made for that size tv. Anyway to make this long story shorter here is what I ended up with as of right now. Still have a few minor things to do like drawer handles, a latch to keep drawer closed while traveling, wire ties and hooks, and a strap across the tv while traveling just in case of rough roads.

The install came out looking nice! My 3295RK is mounted about the same. It is a simple modification any one can make. Again a job well done!!

Pretty neat! How do you latch it to keep it from moving when traveling?

That looks great, and it makes it easy to access the space behind the TV.

I just finished putting a door in the opening in our 3400 to provide a mount for an articulated support, and to maximize the storage space for crafts and computer gear. Even though the TV is pretty light (25#), I don't trust it to ride smoothly at the back. We put it on the air bed, with some extra air taken out (we go over 7000'+ passes and don't want to take a chance of rupturing the bed), so it rides safely. It's a bit more difficult to get into, though.

Hey Paul, want to come up to Nebraska and do mine? I'm going to try and replace ours as soon as the mud dries and I can pull the Monte out of the field (see "Slip, Sliding Away" thread)!

Sorry Tom for taking so long to get back to you and the others about how I am securing the drawer during transport. I'm using a sliding bar like you use on doors, and a velcro strap across the front which I hide behind tv after setup.

Great looking job hubub.

We just brought our new to us Monty home today. The previous owner had removed both TVs. She didn't say why.

So I'll be installing a couple of flat screens. I have a 32 inch that I hope to install in the bedroom, and will be buying as large a tv as I can in the living.

Hoping to find a way to mount the stock stand that will come with it to the existing TV sliding tray.
