If you don't want to know the answer, don't ask the question. I had a new 6.0L F-350 on order but thought it would be a good idea to weight the current 350 with the Big Sky 3575. I weight the combination and truck alone at a certified scales and discovered the Big Sky is one heavy dude. I had to cancel my new 350 order. I need something with a GCWR of 22,000 or better. The 350 CC short bed fits in the garage with about 1" clearance to the front bumper and touching the back wall (backed in). I know the 450 is longer and I've read upfitters routinely cut the frame for various reasons to accommodate aftermarket beds.

Does anyone have experience with / knowledge of 450's? Is x-plan pricing available? Would the warranty be voided if an upfitter cut the frame? Are there any other alternatives? Is there any way I could have a 350 modified to legally take care of the extra weight and not void the warranty or expose myself to a lawsuit for negligence in the event of an accident?
