We're newbies in every sense of the word. Think we've found the fifth wheel we want (3295RK) and have been looking at trucks. Since it seems that the majority of Montana owners pull with a 1-ton, that's the direction we're going as well since we'd rather have too much truck than not enough. We're also looking at 4X4's and wanted to get feedback from others regarding advantages and disadvantages to the 4X4's.
My other question, since we've looked at the Fords on-line but haven't had a chance to test drive any yet, what can you tell me about the features? One feature the Chevy Silverado has is the tow/haul feature. Does Ford have the same thing? Does that feature really make a difference?
