I'm using the "fifthwheel leg leveler", the one at Camping World -
http://www.campingworld.com/browse/skus/index.cfm?skunum=17329&src=SRCH&tcode=37

This is the threaded insert that attaches to one of the landing gear, then the foot pad attaches to it. It can be rotated to adjust height of the foot, eliminating the need for shims. It's a great tool but I have a question.

I remove the insert/foot when running down the road because it makes me nervous seeing it hang down that far. Because of the insert, it's lower than the foot on the "normal" landing gear on the other side.

I'm not sure if I'm worrying unnecessarily. For those of you using this piece of equipment, do you leave it in place when driving down the road. For awhile I ran with it in place and bungeed it to keep it from swiveling from its topmost position.

thoughts? Thanks.
