We just returned from a trip from Central Oregon to Vernal, UT, 2300 miles round trip. The Montana towed without a problem and was certainly more comfortable than any motel room! When emptying the gray tanks mid-week, hubby noticed a dripping under the Montana. On investigation he found that the fittings on the faucets in the tub/shower were not tight. The linoleum in the tub cubby was curled on one side, but the leak is fixed. We did have a flat on the pickup, but not while towing. Hubby was going to replace the tires when we returned home, but did it in Vernal so we would be sure to be safe. Dan's Tire east on Highway 40, between Vernal and Naples is where we got the new rubber - we got there just before closing, but they took the time to treat us right and get the tires on. I recommend them if you are in the area and have a tire problem. We did the entire 900+ mile return trip yesterday - temps were cooler, no head winds, and things were going so smoothly that hubby just kept on going. For those of you who have not been in the Vernal area, there is lots to see, and Flaming Gorge and Dinosaur National Monument are within reasonable driving distances. We especially enjoyed the Dinosaur Quarry near Jensen, UT. Now we are home for 6 days, then head for Indiana!

Double WOW!!!!! Can't even to begin to imagine 900 miles in one day pulling. Made 1050 miles in one day solo all interstate and swapped drivers every fillup, was very tired at the end of that day.

I towed 773 miles less than a month ago in one day and did 800 miles a couple of years ago. That's more than enough for me! 900 had to be a long day. I prefer 200 to 250 per day! But we did longer days (350-500) in our vacationing years, minimizing travel time and maximizing destination time.
