Waterline Question

We purchased a 2014 Montana 3900fb and are trying to figure out the waterline system. In our outside connection panel we have Red and Blue waterlines with valves attached. We are trying to figure out where they come from and the purpose. Any information would be very helpful. They appear to be overflow but for what? Help!!!

Low point drains, before winterizing open the valves and drain the water from the lines. Works best if you open a tap inside, then drain your hot water tank of water. The perform the winterizing as per the instructions in your convenience center. Make sure you close the low point drain valves before pumping the pink anti-freeze in.

Those are low point drains for winterization.

The Reed and Blue lines in your convenient center with the handles on them are the low point drains for the hot(Red) and cold(Blue) water in the rig for draining the lines when winterizing or taking pressure off the lines when unhooking from city water. By the way, Welcome Aboard!

Great! Thanks for the information but one last question - Today, I had continuous drips coming from the Blue (Cold) Line that comes out the bottom. It has never dripped, what might be causing it to drip? I thought I might have a leak but the dripping is from the end of the hose.

I think I had this happen too. I just opened and closed it again very firmly and the drip stopped.

Make sure they are in the position in your photo. 45 degree. I turned mine to far down and they kept dripping. Finally figured it out after a conversation with a mobile RV guy.

Okay, thanks for the input. If that doesn’t work I guess I’ll look into replacing the shut off valve.

I had to replace my cold water one this year as it also was dripping. Couldn't find a replacement anywhere and ended up going to my dealer. He had to get it from Keystone. I decided to buy 2 of them and replaced both. The new ones are now chromed.
